ILAF commence the construction of classrooms for a community initiated technical high school in Inchangaon Mandela Day.
Ikusasa LeAfrika Foundation’s (ILAF) chairperson Dr Mkhize has contributed to education of the marginalised children through the four bursary funds (Drs Zweli and May Mkhize Bursary Fund, Moshal Scholarship Fund, Educor Group Bursary Fund and ILAF Access Fund), the Accellerated Matric Programmes(AMP), the School Infrastructure Improvement Programme(SIIP) and the Africa Teen Geeks Programme(ATG).
As part of the Education programme, ILAF is providing assistance for the construction of classrooms for a community initiated technical high school in Inchanga. The Technical High School was started as a response to the challenge that after primary education, the children of the area had to travel close to 30 kilometres to the nearest secondary school. The school currently operates out of 4 prefab classrooms. Rotary Club of Kloof is working with ILAF in implementing the project.
