One of the strategic intents of ILAF is to deal with poverty, inequality and unemployment through supporting education in order to contribute to:
improving the quality of education
Deepening the culture of learning and teaching
Preparing the African Children for leadership
ILAF plans to achieve this through the creation of:
Regional Centers of Excellence geared towards producing the best output through inspiration, support and intensive learning focusing on mathematics,science,technology,commercial,history and technical subjects .
Best infrastructure (library,labs,sports facilities and boarding facilities)
Integration with the community (programme for support from communities)
Network with schools in the proximity which will feed into the new model school
Community activation to provide role models for the youth underpinned by counseling and career guidance
Social infrastructure to deal with social ills through caring for orphans by providing; children's homes headed by house mothers (LIVtype)
Creation of village agri-hubs ILAF has partnered with the KZN Department of Education (KZN DoE) for the Nkululeko Programme.
