This scheme aims to facilitate access to tertiary education and the related services provided by the state. This is achieved through creating partnerships with institutions of higher learning and the education funding organisations. Although there has been a great milestone reached by government in the changes to the NSFAS policy, there still remain a lot of students who do not qualify for NSFAS but also fail to register for university because of the number of dependants or low income they still exposed to, many students are not able to gain access to institutions of higher learning. ILAF aims to assist with registration funds to students for various fields of studies. ILAF has assisted 55 students with registration funding to close the gap for those who qualify for NSFAS but don’t have registration fee.

In 2016 ILAF has come to an agreement with Educore to assist by sponsoring financial disadvantaged students with bursaries to higher institutions of learning namely Damelin,Icesa and CTC. Educore is the largest provider of private education in Southern Africa. They provide Higher, Private College (Further Education and Training Institution) education via face-to-face classes, distance learning and online learning. They offer full-time and part-time studies, providing people from all walks of life with access to education.

In 2016 Ikusasa Le Afrika Foundation and Educore gave 30 students bursaries
