Ikusasa LeAfrika Foundation (ILAF) is a national organization based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. It is the brain-child of a relentless pursuit by Dr. Zweli Mkhize who is the chairman of ILAF to see communities flourish and become self-sustaining without undue reliance on government. Our young people are groaning, moaning, and yearning for a new life Ikusasa LeAfrika Foundation (RF) NPC was established with the aim of contributing to the social and economic development of marginalized communities.

ILAF is a non profit organization registered in South Africa, with the mission of expanding nationally. ILAF has currently based its operations in Kwazulu Natal. The strategic intent of ILAF is to confront the challenges of:

The Goals of ILAF is to to create home-based food production capacity through the training facilities. ILAF provides basic education infrastructure as trigger for economic activity in poverty nodes to facilitate access to tertiary education, to create comfortable livelihoods for orphans and eliminate child-headed households, to create new youth-run businesses, to provide leadership training for youth. Our Developmental Outcomes are to Reduced levels of poverty, Increased food security, Increased levels and quality of education, Better livelihoods for orphans, Increased participation of youth in the economy and Reduced levels of unemployment
