ILAF Programmes

1Regeneration

The regeneration sub-programme has two focus areas. The first area is the development of learning infrastructure similar to the model used for the Ndumo Regeneration Project in the north –east of the KwaZulu-Natal province. The second area is the mobilisation of professionals to contribute to the enhancement of education in their areas. This forum will also contribute to the youth development programme..

2Bursary Fund
This scheme aims to facilitate access to tertiary education and the related services provided by the state. This is achieved through creating partnerships with institutions of higher learning and the education funding organisations. ILAF identified a gap in that whereas the NSFAS is creating access to education through the provision of funds, many would be students are not able to access it unless they have already registered with institutions of higher learning. ILAF aims to close this gap.
3School Support & Network Hub
The schools will supported by hubs that will be established at the schools. The purpose of the hubs will supplement the supplies required by the school for protein and vegetables. These will also function as hubs that will support the mini-hubs in the communities surrounding the school.
